Gartmore Falls and the Infinity Pool
By Days of Iru and Opa
Gartmore Falls tumbles through a tea estate near Nuwara Eliya, and the draw is the natural rock pool at the lip of the falls that frames the valley like an infinity pool. It is a quieter stop than the roadside cascades.
What to expect
The falls sit among working tea slopes, so the walk in is green and scenic. The pool at the top is the photo everyone comes for, with the water seeming to drop off into the hills beyond.
Good to know
The rocks get slippery, especially after rain, so go carefully near the edge. Water flow is strongest in the wetter months and gentler in the dry season.
